Okanagan College President’s Entrance Scholarships – 2024

We are continuing to have students apply for the President’s Entrance Scholarship online on our website and students can start to apply on their myOkanagan site as soon as they have received their ID number.

Principals and designates will still need to submit an appraisal, however, it can now be emailed by the school or the student to [email protected].

Principal’s Written Appraisal (Word or PDF format on school letterhead):

  • Provide specific details pertaining to all attributes of a well-rounded nominee:

o   demonstrated leadership,

o   contribution to the school and community through:

  • sports, culture, voluntary service and/or other extra-curricular activities, and

o   Scholastic achievement

The members of the adjudication committee rely heavily upon the information provided to them by the Principal (or designate), and the quality and accuracy of this appraisal is very important to the nominee’s application.

ELIGIBILITY:

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

¨      be Canadian citizens or permanent residents;

¨      have graduated from a secondary school in the Okanagan College region within the last fifteen months (as of September 2024) and have not subsequently attended post- secondary studies at a college or university;
