2021 Graduation Ceremonies

Details for this year's ceremony for the Graduating Class of 2021:


    • The convocation ceremony for the Graduating Class of 2021 will take place in the SESS gymnasium on Tuesday June 29th at 5:00pm.

    • Due to Covid-19 restrictions, only graduates (and organizing staff) will attend the event. The ceremony will be live streamed so parents and family members can watch the ceremony live and it will also be recorded for later viewing. The streaming will go live at 4:00 pm (1 hour before the actual ceremony starts) so everyone can trouble shoot any technology issues. 
    Important Upcoming Dates:

    Grad Walk at Cawston Primary (Friday June 25th) 

    We will be taking the grads to Cawston Primary for a walk down memory lane on Friday June 25th.  

    • Grads, please be at SESS by 1:00 to pick up your grad gown and get on the bus (we are scheduled to arrive at CPS at 1:30) 

    • Grads will have a chance to tour the school, watch a special presentation, and then go outside to be cheered and celebrated by the primary students 

    • Once the bus returns to SESS (approximately 2:45), grads will be able to take their grad gowns home with them and keep them until the grad ceremony on Tuesday evening so they can take pictures with friends and family 

    Grad Rehearsal (Monday June 28th) 

    • The grad rehearsal is at 1:00 on Monday June 28th in the secondary gym  

    • All grads must attend the rehearsal 

    • Regular attire is fine (grad gowns not required for the rehearsal) 

    • The rehearsal will take approximately 45 minutes to an hour   

    Graduation Ceremony (Tuesday June 29th) 

    • The graduation ceremony is at 5:00 on Tuesday June 29th 

    • Graduates should be at SESS in your grad gown and stole by 4:30 (don’t forget your grad cap!) If you want to change into your grad gown at the school please arrive earlier.  

    • Due to Covid restrictions, only graduates (and organizing staff) can attend the grad ceremony, but it will be livestreamed for family members as well as recorded for later viewing.  

    • A photographer from Mountain West will be taking formal photos of the grads with their diplomas which will be available to order a few days after the ceremony. 

    • A second photographer will be taking candid photos during the ceremony which will be available for parents to download afterwards. 

    • Grad gowns must be returned after the ceremony unless previous arrangements have been made to keep the gowns for a longer period of time. 

    Reminders for the ceremony on June 29th 

    • Your grad gown will cover down to mid-calf or ankle. Your footwear will be visible on stage.
