The convocation ceremony for the Graduating Class of 2020 will take place in the SESS gymnasium on Thursday June 25th at 5:00pm.
To comply with the orders from the Provincial Health Officer, all large gatherings must be held to 50 people or less. Therefore, the ceremony will only be attended by the grads and a small group of staff needed to facilitate the proceedings.
The ceremony will be livestreamed for families to watch from home. The livestreamed ceremony will also be recorded so it can be watched at a later time/date.
Grads will receive a commemorative digital file of highlights from the ceremony as well.
The link to access the ceremony will be made available during the week leading up to the 25th.
Grads will be able to pick up their grad caps and gowns at SESS on Friday June 19th so they can
take photos with their family and friends at home or in a preferred location. Grads can pick up their gowns anytime between 8:30 and 3:30 on June 19th.
There will be an optional grad rehearsal on Wednesday, June 24 at 11:00am in the SESS gym.
Graduates should arrive at 4:00 on June 25th (we will do the rehearsal right before the ceremony). Grads should arrive for rehearsal in their caps and gowns.
We will be collecting grad gowns right after the ceremony on the 25th. If a grad needs to keep
their gown for an extended period of time after the ceremony, please notify the school ahead of

At the May 6 grad parent meeting, we had discussed the possibility of having a reverse parade
after the ceremony. After significant consultation with Interior Health, we were unable to get permission for this event.
