April 2015

April is a bit of a strange month at school. Spring Break is over, Easter gives us two four day weeks and there are Parent Teacher Interviews, all things that break up the flow of teaching. Girls soccer gets going full steam, which means for some students more days missed, homework done on busses, labs made up at lunch and tests they must write not feeling confident.

For those students graduating in June, April means they are just that much closer to being "outta here!". The weather is warmer, blossoms are out, the itch for spring and summer is here. It is a bit of a dangerous time as well for graduating students. It is too easy to start coasting too soon, to stop pushing before the actual end. The best words of wisdom... "Finish well".
