SESS is a small, thriving school serving students from grades 5 through 12. We are situated in the picturesque Similkameen Valley in southern British Columbia. SESS is located in the village of Keremeos and also includes students from the surrounding communities of Hedley to the west, Olalla to the north, as well as Cawston and Chopaka to the south east. Depending on the year, up to 450 students attend SESS, part of School District #53.
We challenge and support our students to do well in their courses, offering a solid program that prepares students to continue their studies at university or college or to go on into a trades program. We have had students who have attended universities in Canada and the United States with full scholarships and, with a building emphasis on trades, we have been very successful at the Skills Canada competitions from construction to culinary arts.
We offer a range of extra curricular sports options for our students including cross-country running, volleyball, basketball, soccer, swimming and golf. Our band program is offered from grade 6 through grade 12. We also have a strong visual arts program and industrial arts programs in woodwork, metalwork and automotive repairs.
